This is not the first time I go to the modern Mexican restaurant Maya and every time I go I have a great time. The food is to die for and the cocktails are very tasty. I rarely talk about restaurants I go to because I rarely have delicious food which is worth talking about.
BUT if you have not been to Maya, you have to try it. The ambiance is great for any occasions; maybe a fun night out with friends or taking your partner for a date. The service is really good and you can sit there for hours, even if you are going there for just few cocktails and appetizers.
Beef fans try my favorite dish on the menu PIRAMIDE DE RES when you go.
Mother’s day is coming, take her there…. I promise it will be lots of fun.

Spring is my favorite season… Flowers are blooming, trees are green, the air is fresh, Weather is getting warmer and it seems like the earth is reborn. The first day of spring is when night and day are nearly the same length, the actual dates vary depending on the year and this year in San Francisco it falls on March 19th at 9:40 PM.
The first day of spring is the beginning of Persian New Years ‘Nowruz’.
On the first day of spring, Nowruz day, families gather around a table set with the ‘Haft seen’ arrangement of seven items. Each item begins with the letter ‘S’ in Persian and symbolizes the hoped for happiness, abundance, and health in the New Year.
For example, there is an apple, the Persian word for which is seeb. The fruit symbolizes health and robustness. Garlic (seer) is said to ward off evil and illness. Sprouts of wheat (samanoo) symbolize good crops of growth and plenty
The celebration continues for 13 days with gatherings of relatives and friends to renew friendships, bury grievances, and exchange gifts and wishes.
Wish you all a great spring and as Persians say ‘Eyde shoma mobarak’.
By the way… There is going to be a fun parade this Sunday in Down town, stay tuned and I will post details in the next couple of days!
Go and celebrate spring this Friday Spring!

We live in one of the MOST beautiful cities in the whole world and I say that from traveling over 100 cities around the world. Walking in the street of San Francisco in sunny days reminds me how lucky we are, Golden Gate Bridge, Tidlen park, Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Street, Palace of Fine Arts, Transamerica Pyramid are just few places to mention…. I can go and on but I am sure you get the point.
I am also proud to be living in one of the only cities in the states that is working hard to keep America green and help to prevent global warming. Each one of us do make a HUGE difference, so please keep recycling, keep using your hybrid cars, stop using plastic bags, conserve water and energy at home and work. Not only with the gas and electricity prices you will save some money but you will help future generation and our mother earth.
Hey and next time you are walking down the street, stop and smell the roses too :)

I am sure everyone had one or two 2008 resolution on January 01st. Some were to loose weight, another one to quit smoking, Boost your energy, work out more… And I am pretty sure most of you have forgotten about it already like I did. As I have been fighting a cold in the past couple of days in bed, I had plenty of time to surf the internet for a quick medicine that can make this cold go away, well I came across this article about fighting a cold : ‘Stop a cold in 3 hours’, yes REALLY!
These natural healings methods can be found in a book called ‘Healing with Vitamins’. Dr. Elliot Dick takes 2,000 milligrams of vitamin C in one hour at the first sign of cold, if he is not better he takes another 1,000 until it’s gone. I went to the drug store and bought some vitamin C :)
In this book they talk about different health problems you can solve with taking THE right vitamins, I don’t know about you but I am very interest to know more. For example:
The answer to cancer: Beta-Carotene
Brittle nails: Biotin
Need energy: Chromium
Joint paint: Copper
But it also mentions don’t go to the health store and store up on these before reading the book because more or less dosage may have some side effects. Here is the informative research from me staying in bed, I made it easy for you to click on and buy it like I did if you are interested. Hope you enjoy…
